MIS Web Design - UK Web Design - Sheffield & Leeds

We are a long established web design and development company, originally based in Sheffield but now in Saltaire near Bradford. We were established in 2002. We still have strong links with Sheffield, having partner companies there, and clients who include both of the Universities. MIS Web Design is operated by Nigel Peck, who has been working on the web since 1995. He is a published author and accomplished teacher of accessible web design.

Web-Based Systems

Our work primarily involves the development of web-based systems such as those for website content management, eCommerce and online business databases. Our experience of development projects enables us to see projects through from conception to completion, finding simple, elegant solutions to complicated problems.

Depending on the needs of our clients, our systems may be built using off-the-shelf software, particularly open source, or we will often develop bespoke systems tailored to our clients' needs.

Websites

We create simple and elegant websites, at home with anything from small information websites through to large, content rich, interactive sites. We design websites to suit the needs of the people who will use them. This ensures that your website will be easy to use and people will be left with a positive impression of your organisation.

All of our websites are coded by hand using web standards. Your website will work well, load quickly, be friendly to search engines and as future-proofed as possible.

We take care to ensure that our work is accessible to people with disabilities, in accordance with the UK Disability Discrimination Act. For websites that are particularly for the use of people with disabilities, extra facilities can be provided. We have specialist expertise in this regard.

Online Marketing

Our experience of online marketing enables us to help our clients with anything from advice on buying advertising, through to long-term search engine marketing partnerships. We have helped many of our clients achieve high positions in the search engines, and would be happy to disucss working with you.

Website Hosting

We provide a high quality, reliable hosting service to our clients, made possible by our partnership with Rackspace. We take care of everything, so you can feel confident that your website is always online and responding quickly.

Consultancy

Our extensive experience enables us to offer a broad range of consultancy services. We will work with you to better understand your requirements, producing detailed technical specifications, executive summaries, and other supporting documentation.

We have strong links with a number of analysts, who will work with us to carry out appropriate research. We offer usability studies, market research, web analytics, and reports on the flow of information within your organisation.

We own and operate Accessify Forum, a popular discussion forum about making websites accessible to people with disabilities.
